Be present

When you're around other people, focus on what you're doing at that moment.  Don't think about the past or the future.

Stay positive

Even if you feel like everything is going wrong, stay positive.  If you can't control your emotions, then you need to control your thoughts.

Make eye contact

As humans, we're conditioned to look at others' eyes. But that doesn't mean you need to stare at people.  Instead, look at them from time to time and make sure they feel comfortable looking back at you.

Keep your body language open

If you're feeling anxious, don't worry about what other people think of you.  Instead, just focus on your breathing and your thoughts.

Don't overthink things

If you're having a hard time talking to new people, try to keep it simple.  You don't have to talk about yourself for the rest of your life.
